last one #vlomo11 day 30
this is it, the last vlomo, but not the end of video blogging
How can you talk about the non-existence of time in the context of time?
Did God create the universe because he/she/it was bored? Andrew Cohen seems to suggest that God was tired of being in perfect peace and wanted a change. Hanging out beyond space and time wasn’t doing it for God anymore, and having nothing better to do, God created the universe for his/her/its entertainment.
Welcome to the show.
I think the moment you attempt to describe God using language, you automatically limit God. We confine God with language, then we kill each other who has the best description of something that can’t be described.
i don’t know what to make of the credit crunch, the recession, the collapse of the banks and our monetary system.
the system that was never real in the first place appears to be on the verge of collapse if it hasn’t already collapsed and we are just waiting for the aftershock. at what point did the ordinary roman citizen realize the empire had collapsed? what do you do, close your eyes, cover your ears, shut your mouth and pretend it’s not happening? do you panic, stockpile food, weapons, ammunition, and start preparing for the apocalypse? do you trust that your government is full of people smarter than you and that they will know what to do to save us all? or do we break out the r.e.m and prince and sing along to the words:
Save yourself, serve yourself. World serves its
own needs, listen to your heart bleed. Tell me with the rapture and the
reverent in the right – right. You vitriolic, patriotic, slam, fight, bright
light, feeling pretty psyched.
It’s the end of the world as we know it.
It’s the end of the world as we know it.
It’s the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine.
or
When I woke up this mornin’
Coulda sworn it was judgment day
The sky was all purple,
there were people runnin’ everywhere
Tryin’ 2 run from the destruction,
U know I didn’t even care
‘Cuz they say two thousand zero zero party over,
oops out of time
So tonight I’m gonna party like it’s 1999
I recently had the opportunity to direct and edit Freaky Karma’s new music video of their song, Wake Up. Freaky Karma is Emma and Andrew, two talented musicians. After you look at the video, check out their Myspace page here.
Over the past two weeks we have been sharing our garage with a family of Robins. I set up the video camera to capture some of their nesting activities. We captured some cool footage, but the most bizarre has to be the following clip. Watch what the mother Robin does for her offspring.
Here’s the video I put together of our little adventure in the brecon beacons last month. Enjoy.
Check out my new ascent video. And if you’re feeling kind, please comment and rate it on youtube. Oh yeah, and share it with friends.
Kirk Nugent is a poet with passion. If you have ears to hear, then listen. And then go do!
