The Best Action Verb Is Go

What’s your dream? Stop and think about this for a moment. Time is moving forward and so are you.  But are you drifting through time or are you living on purpose? And by that I mean, are you doing what you need to do in order to pursue your dreams now, or are you putting everything on hold until some time in an imaginary future where everything will be perfect, where you’ll have all the resources you need – time, money, and know-how – to do exactly what you want to do without the need to work for it because it will appear fully formed because everything will be perfectly aligned for you?

You and I both know that kind of future doesn’t exist.  It’s never going to be a perfect time.  You’ll never have enough money, or know-how, or time to do what you want to do, but that doesn’t mean that you don’t pursue your dreams.  In fact, it means just begin now.  Whatever your circumstances, it doesn’t matter just begin now! The best action verb to get you started is GO.

GO small.  GO simple.  GO now.

I picked that up from Larry Pardey. He was talking about sailing, but those three action phrases can apply to the pursuit of your dreams.  Don’t wait for the stars to be perfectly aligned before you start. GO NOW.  You’ll figure out the rest as you go along.
